Intel, the company best known for its computer processors, announced that it will be launching a program that will help cities more easily use wireless networks. “Digital Communities” is the name of the new program, in which the following 13 cities will participate:

Cleveland, Corpus Christi, Philadelphia and Portland
Around the World:
Taipei, Taiwan; Mangaratiba, Brazil; Dusseldorf, Germany; Gyor, Hungary; Jerusalem, Israel; Principality of Monaco; Seoul, South Korea; Osaka, Japan; and Westminster, United Kingdom.
This program is designed to help cities by enhancing public safety, expanding distance learning, improving access to healthcare information, boosting efficiency of city employees, bringing technology to a larger population, and improving the quality of life of citizens.
